The journey to recognizing the most outstanding veterans and veteran entrepreneurs continues! In Round 2 of voting, the nominees for the National Veteran of the Year and National Vetrepreneur of the Year are all state winners, each representing their state in their respective category. These individuals have already demonstrated excellence at the state level—now, it’s time to determine who will rise to the top nationally.
How It Works
Out of 100 state winners, only 20 finalists will advance—10 in the Veteran of the Year category and 10 in the Vetrepreneur of the Year category. The selection process is a combination of public voting and judging panel review, ensuring that the finalists truly represent the best of the best.
Judging Criteria
The judging panel will evaluate nominees based on key criteria, including:
- Leadership & Impact – How has the nominee demonstrated leadership and positively influenced their community?
- Business Success & Innovation (for Vetrepreneurs) – How has the nominee built and grown their business, creating jobs and contributing to the economy?
- Service & Commitment – How has the nominee continued to serve others beyond their military career?
- Community Engagement – What initiatives has the nominee led or supported to uplift fellow veterans and civilians?
- Resilience & Overcoming Challenges – How has the nominee navigated obstacles and emerged stronger?
Your Vote Matters!
Public voting plays a critical role in determining the finalists. Your vote helps ensure that the most deserving veterans and vetrepreneurs receive the recognition they’ve earned.
Finalist Announcement
Once voting closes, the top 10 finalists in each category will be selected based on a combination of public votes and judging panel evaluations. These finalists will move forward in the competition, with the ultimate winners announced later this year.
