Tito’s Handmade Vodka and Operation Homefront are Inviting You to “Be a Giver”

By Marisa Ballard

The holidays are a great time to spend time with your loved ones, and it also happens to be the perfect time to give back to those who are less fortunate than us. And while there are certainly hundreds of deserving charities that need help during this time of year, we can’t help but think about military families and what they might be going through during the winter months. Military families can always use a helping hand, and there’s no time more precious than Thanksgiving and Christmas to spread some love and kindness.

One Texas company, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, has partnered with Operation Homefront to raise money to help support military families across the country. Right now, they have two ways for folks to give back – in the hopes of raising up to $350,000 for Operation Homefront.

  • “Be a Giver, Raise a Tito’s”: From now until January 3rd, people are encouraged to give back by texting “TITOSHOLIDAY” to 811811 and selecting Operation Homefront. Tito’s will donate $1, up to $150,000, for every text received and fans will also be entered to win an ugly holiday sweater for them or their pet.
  • Tito’s Holiday Sweater: Beginning on December 1, 2017, people will be able to give back all while dressing up their animals with the limited-edition Tito’s Holiday Sweater. The exclusive sweaters will be available for purchase at titosvodka.com/store starting December 1, 2017 at $15 for dog sweaters and $25 for human sweaters. Proceeds for these sweaters will go to the charity of the buyer’s choice, which includes Operation Homefront.

Operation Homefront has provided more than $22 million in critical financial assistance to nearly 15,000 military families across the U.S over the years, and they themselves realize how crucial support from the community is during the colder winter months.

“The needs of junior- and mid-grade enlisted service members can be especially urgent during the holiday season,” said Brig. Gen. (ret.) Robert Thomas, chief operating officer for Operation Homefront. “This partnership will help military families thrive in the communities they’ve worked so hard to protect.”

Tito’s encourages everyone to give back, because just a few dollars will go a long way towards making sure these military families have all they need for a great holiday season. Plus, with the opportunity to win a cute sweater for yourself or your dog, there’s fun to be had for everyone!
