Dog
Dogs are known as man’s best friend for a reason. The snuggles and energy they give when a deployed loved one is away can keep fear and worry at bay. Keep in mind flying and housing restrictions on certain breeds when looking for your next fluffy companion. Dogs require the most upkeep out of any pet on the list, but if you love them, they are worth the work.
Fish
Fish are fantastic pets to have for those who want a soothing, quiet atmosphere to reduce stress. Keeping fish alive is not as simple as one might think.
