Federal Aid, Spouse Club Scholarships, and Branch Aid Societies are accepting applications NOW!

Federal Aid-

State deadlines are quickly approaching to file your Free Application for Student Financial Aid (FAFSA) for the 2013-14 school year; the FAFSA is required for any federal or state aid, such as student loans, the Pell Grant, and Work Study programs.

Spouse Clubs-

Annually, spouse clubs around the globe begin accepting applications for scholarships. Available to both Officer and Enlisted spouses, the requirements usually include an application, essay, and verification of your service member’s service. Here is a listing of over 35 Clubs with listings; if your local area did not make the list email us & we’ll do some research for you: https://www.milspouseeducation.org/spouse-club-scholarships

Branch Aid Societies-

Each of the five branch aid societies is accepting applications for scholarships & grants for various levels of education.

  • Army Emergency Relief (Deadline is May 1) Must be the spouse of Active Duty, Retiree, or the Widow of a Soldier who died on active duty or in Retired Status. Further details at:https://www.aerhq.org/dnn563/Scholarships/Spouses.aspx
  • Air Force Aid Society (Deadline is March 8) Must be the spouse of Active Duty or on Title 10 orders; or the Surviving Spouse. Further details at: https://www.afas.org/education-grants
  • Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (Deadline is May 1) Must be the spouse of a Sailor/ Marine on Active Duty or Retired. https://www.nmcrs.org/education.html
  • Coast Guard Mutual Assistance (Deadline is: Rolling)Must be the spouse of an Active Duty Coast Guardsman, Retired, members of the Coast Guard Selected Reserve, Coast Guard Civilian employees, Coast Guard Auxiliarists, and Public Health Officers serving with the Coast Guard.
