Four lives were forever changed on Saturday, February 27, when our military community was rocked in a tragic turn of events in Woodbridge, VA.
A 28 year old Veteran Marine Reservist and newly minted Prince William County Police Officer, was shot and killed while responding to a domestic dispute. Two other police officers were also wounded.
A 32 year old Army Staff Sergeant, who was assigned to the Pentagon and has been detained, also shot and killed his 29 year old wife.
The couple’s 11 year old son ran to a neighbor’s house shortly before the officers arrived on the scene.
Our prayers and thoughts go out to the victims, friends and families that were affected by this tragic event and to our military community as well. Situations like these can often have an impact on us all.
