Discover the backstory behind Marc Cameron’s most action-packed novel!

Before we were married, I told my wife I wanted to teach college and write novels. She was an education major, so this set well with her. Then, a couple of weeks before the wedding, I confessed that I still wanted to write, but I had my sights set on becoming a cop. She married me anyway. During our first year of marriage, trying to survive on a rookie police officer’s salary—with a baby on the way—she scraped together enough money to buy me a ballistic vest and an electric typewriter—so I could pursue both my goals.

Fast forward thirty-four years, and that first baby is a captain in the Air Force. His younger brother is a cop in Anchorage. It’s a violent city. I know. I was a deputy U.S. Marshal there for the last fifteen years. When the cop son first hit the street by himself, I was a nervous wreck. My wife was the picture of calm. “How come you’re not more worried?” I asked, incredulous. She gave me her all-knowing smile and said, “Marc, worrying is new to you. I’ve had over thirty years of practice.”

National Security, featuring AF OSI special agent Jericho Quinn and his partner Marine gunnery sergeant Jacques Thibodaux, is first and foremost an adventure story—good guys chasing down the bad guys. Beyond that, though, I hope it and the other books in the series, pull back the curtain of what it’s like to work in the world of military and counter-terrorism—and have someone back home who’s worried sick about you.

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, of the Jericho Quinn series, Marc Cameron is a retired Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal who spent nearly thirty years in law enforcement. His assignments have taken him from rural Alaska to Manhattan, from Canada to Mexico and points in between. A second degree black belt in jujitsu, he often teaches defensive tactics to other law enforcement agencies and civilian groups. In 2016 Cameron was chosen to continue the Tom Clancy Jack Ryan/Campus Thriller series.  Tom Clancy Power and Empire by Marc Cameron was published in November 2017 and debuted on the New York Times bestseller list at #7.  Cameron is a native of Texas and presently lives in the Alaska with his wife and his BMW motorcycle.  Readers can visit his website at www.marccameronbooks.com
