Being a military spouse can be a little stressful at times, to stay the least, which is why every military spouse sometimes needs to spend a little time decompressing with a glass a wine and a good comedy TV series. But finding a good TV show on Netflix can feel like looking for a needle in an ever growing haystack. There are so many options it can be overwhelming to know where to start. That is why I selflessly took it upon myself to spend hours with my couch and my popcorn delving through Netflix to find the best comedies on Netflix in 2015 guaranteed to leave you in stitches whenever you just need to sit back and laugh. 1. New Girl This series is still running but with over 60 episodes on Netflix, you’ll have plenty of watching to catch up on while you wait for the next season to wrap up and come out. At times it can be a little difficult to watch Jessica Day’s awkward fumbles in life, I often found myself cringe-worthy embarrassed for her, but you can’t help but love this series about Jessica Day and her roommates’ trials and tribulations on their very bumpy journey toward adulthood. 2. How I met your mother This series ran for quite a long time, 9 seasons, and there’s a reason why. In this feel good comedy centering on Ted Mosby’s search to find his soulmate, you’ll find yourself rooting for Ted Mosby, enjoying his friends’ antics, and pondering the mystery of the yellow umbrella. It will only take a couple of episodes before you’re yelling out “Challenge Accepted” and binge watching all 9 seasons. 3. Archer Archer might be the best animated series on television ever. Bold statement, I know, especially when you consider other greats, such as Family Guy or The Simpsons, but the life likeness of the characters are as amazing as the series is engrossing. Pour yourself an old fashioned, dim the lights and prepare to be swept away on waves of hilarity as you watch this satiric spy series about scotch filled subterfuge. The series is at times offensive, and almost never PC, but it sure is funny. 4. The Office If the movie Office Space had a baby, or maybe a funnier Uncle, it would be the series The Office. If you’ve ever had the displeasure of sitting in a cubicle or spending the day under fluorescent lighting typing the day away, this British-adapted TV series will leave you in stitches. It’s worth watching just to see Steve Carrell as the best/worst office manager ever. From finding yourself equal parts amused and offended at Steve Carrell’s management to whole-heartedly rooting for Pam & Jim, this show will give you all the feels. 5. Parks and Recreation Once you’ve finished The Office, it’s a natural progression to Parks and Recreation, another workplace satire. Parks and Recreation is a comedy filled with big names, such as Amy Poehler and Chris Pratt, about the residents of Pawnee, Indiana and their jobs at a Parks and Recreation Development.
