Guild Financial App Sets Goal to Help Military Community Build Fifty Billion Dollars in Personal Wealth by 2032
There’s a new finance app on the scene and its founders have their sights set on making some pretty big waves.

I sat down with one of the app’s founders, Sean Bonner, for a quick interview to get the scoop on this new investment platform. Bonner, a former Navy Intelligence Officer and a career finance man on Wall Street, wanted to make an impact on financial readiness in the military community and equip his peers to build their personal wealth.
He noticed a distinct lack of financial literacy and an immense need for support. Bonner operates under the vision that military community members should be educated and equipped to take control of their financial freedom. In order to accomplish his mission, he and his executive team came up with Guild Financial, which launched on Veteran’s Day 2021.
Guild is self-directed investing platform, like Charles Schwab, E-Trade, or Robinhood. The app allows users to log on, access their brokerage account, and make all their own decisions. In addition, one of the unique components this app features is an education piece on the basics of personal finance.

Trading is as easy as “1,2,3.” Once your account is set up, you can see the app’s leaderboard- showcasing the most popular investments and who is making the most of their shares- all without the dollar amounts of course. Additionally, the shares available for purchase are fractional. You can begin trading with as little as $1.
Why not build wealth, instead of paying out? Once someone begins to understand the power behind saving money- and not spending it, then that person can grow to the stage of investing. Investing can shore up a family’s future, provide financial freedom, and help accrue lasting income.
