Sorry that I was having to spend our anniversary, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Valentine's Day without him. Sorry that he wasn't there to do some of our holiday traditions. Sorry that I couldn't get myself into the holiday spirit. ? And then I took a hot second and remembered that my husband also wasn't getting a normal holiday season. He was away from home and family and likely missing both of those things immensely. Yes, being at home during deployment is hard, but so is actually being deployed! That's why care packages during the holiday season are so important! ? They give your loved one a taste of home, a dose of cheer and help them feel included in holiday activities.
