75 Things Military Families are Thankful for in 2015

29) “That it is Kosovo this time and not Iraq or Afghanistan.”

28) “Moving to Kansas and buying our first house. Who knew this city girl would love the Midwest?”

27) “The distance. It’s been one tough year of a long distance relationship between boot camp, MCT, and MOS school… but now that we are back living together, we are closer than ever before.”

26) “I’m thankful to be stationed at a post where they are testing Click2Go (where you select your groceries online, the commissary employees pick them, scan them, and bring them to your car). With a newborn and a four year old it’s nice to do a big order and then just have to run in for last minute things here and there.”

25) “A generator! We are at an overseas embassy post in Africa with very unreliable electricity. The generator keeps the air conditioning flowing… it is never below 80 degrees here all year!”

24) “I’m thankful we bought an overly priced house inside the beltway. My husband is home for dinner every single night of the week now!”

23) “Deployment! I lost a lot of weight.”

22) “I am thankful for Tricare. My son had to have surgery on his skull, and without Tricare, I really don’t know how or if we would have been able to afford it.”

21) “I’m thankful for the renewal of romance in my relationship and appreciation for my husband that comes from only communicating through occasional email over months (when they aren’t in blackout because of mission). Don’t get me wrong, it’s been an unbelievably difficult and painful process, but I’m appreciating the growth in our relationship that comes with the adversity (most days).”

20) “The fact that my husband survived a helicopter crash a few months ago.”
