My husband and I chose to pursue a domestic infant adoption. Nine months after completing our home study and all necessary paperwork, we adopted a sibling group, half-brothers ages 2 yr and 10 months. January 20th is our 5 year “Gotcha Day” anniversary. There have been a lot of ups, a few downs, but we wouldn’t change anything. We have been well and truly blessed!

We did! We began foster care in October 2017 by welcoming two beautiful sisters into our home while stationed in San Antonio. Navigating the world of foster care was challenging, confusing and time consuming. My husband turned down Command Chief job interviews so we could complete our journey with the girls, whether in reunification with bio parents or adoption. We are so blessed to say that we adopted them on November 25th, 2019! They are now officially part of Team Hoover and we wouldn’t have it any other way!

We officially adopted our teenage niece over a year ago, after the sudden loss of her mother from cancer. And although my husband is now retired from the Navy, we are living a blessed civilian life as a family of five❤️

We adopted our daughter! It was a domestic, infant, semi-open adoption! We met her the day after she was born and brought her home from the hospital when she was two days old. We adopted through a private agency, Bethany Christian services. It has been one of the best things we’ve ever done! Our little girl just turned 7 on January 1st. ❤️

My husband is AD Navy and we have been blessed by a domestic adoption. We adopted our baby boy at birth this past May and have an open adoption with his birth mom and family ❤️

We did. We adopted 3 times while my husband was on active duty. The most challenging part was that each child was between 6 and 8 and had severe trauma. My husband deployed just days after placement of 3rd kiddo, then upon return from that deployment was a geo-bachelor for 3 years because the follow-on orders were to a base that couldn’t provide what one of our kids needed (and where trauma occurred for 2 kids). It was rough, but we all survived 🙂

Yes! We adopted a 14 yr old a few years ago. He turns 18 this year! Graduation is in May! After we adopted we did IVF and had a son.. 3 weeks after he turned a yr we got pregnant unexpectedly. It’s been a long journey trying to have children. Both of our boys are a blessing and when our next baby boy is born in March, he will be a blessing as well!

We are retired now. We have four foster children and are hoping to adopt our two littlest ones soon. We don’t know yet what will happen with the older two, but we love them for however long they are with us and pray for them and carry them in our hearts forever.

We adopted twice from China, after years of infertility and two failed domestic adoptions. Our journey took many turns but we totally believe it led us to the children that were meant for our family. They are incredible blessings to us and we can’t imagine life without them in it. Our daughters grew up as my husband’s military career (now retired) carried us to many duty stations which allowed them many experiences that a lot of children never get. We had a biological surprise after about 22 years of marriage so we now have three daughters all equally loved and cherished as our very own. #foreverfamily

We adopted 6 kiddos from foster care when we were stationed in Alaska! They joined our three biological kids and now we have 9 beautiful children. Our story is long, too long to put here, but it’s a good one. ❤️ We love our large, crazy family!

We grew our family through adoption this past summer! Took us a bit longer than we anticipated partly because we were overseas for the last 12 years but also because we were waiting on God’s perfect timing. We were incredibly blessed to be able to be present for her birth. She’s amazing and we are forever grateful to her first family for entrusting us to raise her. We hope that we can continue to build on the relationship we’ve built so far. Adoption is hard but so worth it! Our sweet girl will be 5 months old this coming weekend.

My husband and I adopted our son through Embryo Adoption❄️ being unable to have biological children, embryo adoption gifted us the opportunity to both adopt and experience pregnancy as we completed a frozen embryo transfer to me of embryos we adopted. I then carried our baby boy just like any other pregnancy and he is now about to be one month old on Sunday. ?
