We are so excited for the premiere of this amazing episode of ‘Our Wedding Story’ this Thursday!
This Thursday, the episode of UPtv’s hit ‘Our Wedding Story’ features a couple who met while serving. The husband still serves, and their wedding is in part a tribute to their dedication and service.

Shelby was enlisted in the Army and then left shortly after having her daughter, Atley. A few weeks after Atley’s birth, Shelby decided to leave her abusive marriage and returned to the Army as an officer when Atley was a toddler. It was then that she met Kurt.
Kurt was stationed at Fort Benning, where single-mom Shelby was also training. The two fell in love and married in a ceremony that paid tribute to their lives of service including the groom and groomsmen wearing Army Service Uniforms, a saber ceremony, and many moments where the wedding party remarked on the challenging lives you lead when in service to your country.
In Shelby’s words, “We wanted all of those aspects in our wedding because those are things that we’ve worked for, and that we’re proud of.”

After Shelby and her daughter find the perfect man to complete their family, she handcrafts the wedding of her dreams, complete with Army Service Uniforms, line dancing, and most importantly her dream man, Kurt.
